The Consul General of Turkmenistan in Mazar-e-Sharif city, in a meeting with the governor of Balkh province, while emphasizing the strengthening of political, economic, social and transit relations between the two countries, says that facilities should be created in the field of businessmen's activities from both sides.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Mazar-e-Sharif: Bazar Bai Kabayev, Consul General of Turkmenistan in Mazar-Sharif city, in a meeting with the governor of Balkh province, said that the implementation process of the TAPI project, the import of electricity from Turkmenistan to Afghanistan, the operation of the railway between the two countries, the establishment of good economic relations and the creation of facilities For traders, there are things that are being done with the efforts of the officials between the two countries.

He added that our understanding is that: "After 44 years of war, security and peace have been secured in Afghanistan, therefore the officials of the Islamic Emirate government want good relations and all-round cooperation with the world, especially with Turkmenistan."

Kabayev stated that Turkmenistan is ready to activate the gas plant of Bandar Kolfat in Jawzjan Province for the use of the people and government of Afghanistan, along with other cooperation.

The named said: We are trying to strengthen the relations and cooperation between Afghan businessmen and Turkmenistan, although there are good trade, transit, economic, political and social relations between the countries and these relations should be facilitated and strengthened due to the common border.

On the other hand, Mohammad Yusuf Wafa, the governor of Balkh province, while emphasizing the strengthening of economic relations between the two countries, said: At the same time as the Islamic Emirate government took office, a good basis for investment and trade has been provided in Afghanistan, and according to the leadership of the government, they want good relations. 

He clarified that modern equipment for checking the quality of export and import goods has been installed in all borders of Afghanistan and there is no concern in this regard.

The governor of Balkh province emphasized on increasing the export and import of commercial goods between the two countries and added: "It is necessary to pay attention to the quality of the goods of the two countries and to provide a good facilitation process for the traders and we will cooperate with the Turkmen side."

It is said that some local officials, including Seyed Karim Hashemi, the head of the country's oil and gas union, were also present in this meeting.
