More than 2600 carats of Panjshir emeralds were sold to domestic traders
A total of 2,638 carats of high-quality Panjshir emeralds have been successfully sold to domestic traders.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: Maulavi Mohammad Qasim Amiri, Director of Mines and Petroleum for Panjshir, informed Bakhtar News Agency that the emeralds were auctioned for a total of $74,750. He emphasized that the sale was conducted through an open bidding process, ensuring fairness and transparency.

According to Amiri, four boxes of emeralds, recently extracted from Panjshir’s mines, were offered for auction in the presence of a supervisory committee from the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, along with several prominent gemstone traders.

This transaction highlights the significant potential of Afghanistan’s natural resources, contributing to the economic growth and sustainability of the country’s mining sector.
