Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Tajikistan President Emomali Rahman called on the countries of the world to prevent the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan at the UN General Assembly.
Mr. Rahman, who was speaking at the 79th General Assembly of the United Nations yesterday (Tuesday, September 24), announced his support for peace and stability in Afghanistan.
He asked the countries of the world to pay attention to the urgent needs in Afghanistan and prevent the occurrence of a humanitarian crisis in this "war-torn country".
The President of Tajikistan addressed the countries of the world: "Do not hesitate to make any effort to help the suffering people of Afghanistan, especially the areas affected by natural disasters, in order to prevent the occurrence of a humanitarian crisis in this war-torn country."
He also announced that Tajikistan "supports the establishment of lasting peace and stability as well as economic and social development in Afghanistan."
