Citizens of Uruzgan Ask the Islamic Emirate to Repair Roads, Dams in their Province
In a coordination meeting with the government, the citizens of Uruzgan called on the Islamic Emirate to provide education, health, and reconstruction works besides repairing roads and dams in their province.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, They asked for the restoration of highways and dams in a coordination meeting with the government, which was attended by dozens of religious scholars, influential figures, provincial governors, and other local officials from the central Tarinkot and districts.
 
An elder tribe Mawlavi Sharafuddin Sajid spoke on behalf of others and asked the Islamic Emirate to pay attention to the reconstruction of highways and dams, the initiation of health centers, the repair of bridges, and a number of other development subjects discussed, according to BNA correspondent.
 
Sajid said that another road to connect the center of Uruzgan to Kandahar should be built so that all the people of the province could travel easily.
 
The people of Uruzgan are demanding education, health, potable water, and other similar reconstruction works and the Islamic Emirate should pay attention to these issues, they urged.
 
Meanwhile, the governor of Uruzgan, Mawlavi Mohammad Ali Jan Ahmed, asked the religious scholars and the people to prevent drug trafficking, return the usurped lands, support the system, respect the leaders, and implement Sharia laws.
 
“Currently many reconstruction works are underway in Uruzgan, educational centers are open, dam reconstruction projects have been approved and the ground has been laid for development” he added.
