Road construction projects to be implemented in Kabul this year/More than 1.5 billion Afghanis paid to owners of destroyed houses
Kabul Municipality officials told AVA that 89 road construction projects have been implemented in the capital this year and that the owners of houses whose houses were destroyed during the construction of the road have been paid 1.5 billion Afghanis in the past three years. On the other hand, citizens expressed satisfaction with the implementation of road construction projects and considered it useful in reducing traffic congestion.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Nematullah Barakzai, representative and spokesman of Kabul Municipality, said in an interview with AVA that the Kabul Municipality has clear plans and projects in all areas of the capital that will implement these projects based on balanced development.

The representative of the Kabul Municipality also said that the agency will implement infrastructure projects in all parts of the capital, bringing the number of projects to 165, including 89 road construction projects.
 
The Kabul Municipality official pointed to the construction of intersections for the purpose of traffic management and added that in order to connect the Red Bridge Road to Barchi Road in the Burnt Bridge area, the square will be removed and a straight intersection without signs will be built instead.
 
Meanwhile, Mohammad Yousuf Alizadeh, one of the lawyers of Kabul city transit, in an interview with AVA reporter supported the implementation projects of Kabul Municipality and said that road construction projects play a fundamental and valuable role in reducing traffic congestion and beautifying the city.
 
He added that the construction in Kabul is in the interest of the citizens and the roads that will be built will make it easier for people to pass and other facilities will also be created.
 
Mr. Alizadeh said that Kabul was previously a non-standard city, adding that after the implementation of projects by the Kabul Municipality, in addition to the width of roads, the reduction of traffic has also added to the beauty of the city.
 
Mohammad Hassan Ghasemi, a resident of the capital, said the development of roads in Kabul was useful and added that the Kabul Municipality should weigh the benefits and harms of implementing projects and try to reduce the damage to citizens.
 
He said that the Kabul Municipality should consider the principle of effectiveness in implementing projects and try to build roads in proportion to the population of the area.
 
It is worth mentioning that the Kabul Municipality has implemented hundreds of infrastructure projects, including road construction projects, in different parts of Kabul over the past three years, and has also removed some intersections and reduced the size of these intersections, which is considered useful in reducing traffic congestion.
