Afghan charity: New Houses Hands Over to Quake-affected Residents in Paktika
The charity organization said, The Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) has constructed 65 houses in Paktika Province for families affected by earthquake last year.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, These houses are equipped with new beds, floors, utensils, solar power systems, food items, and other accessories, according to the ARCS.
 
"The impact of the earthquake in Paktika and Khost surpassed regional boundaries, affecting both Afghans and the international community," said Mawlawi Matiul Haq Khalis, acting president of the ARCS, in a handover ceremony held on Saturday.
 
The earthquake that jolted eastern Afghanistan on June 22, 2022 left more than 1,000 people dead and over 1,500 others injured in Paktika and neighboring Khost provinces.
