He added: "The Islamic Republic of Iran firmly stands by Lebanon and is committed to supporting the government, people and resistance. The Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns the continued complicity of the United States, the United Kingdom and some other Western countries in enabling the Israeli regime to commit systematic war crimes and genocidal war against the Palestinian and Lebanese people through the provision of advanced weapons.

Irvani stated: After more than a year of the genocidal war of the Israeli regime in Gaza, in which more than two hundred thousand people were killed, wounded or buried under the rubble, now this regime has started its war and genocide against Lebanon and its brutal campaign. It repeats against the Palestinian people in Gaza this time in Lebanon. Deliberately targeting civilians and destroying civilian infrastructure is more than a violation of international law; This is a clear war crime, a crime against humanity and genocide. The regime has destroyed critical infrastructure, killed innocent civilians, and pushed Lebanon into a deeper humanitarian disaster. The regime has crossed all the red lines and has shown that it has no respect for international law.

Iran's representative at the United Nations stated that the people of Lebanon are victims of a systematic campaign of terror and violence planned in advance by the Israeli regime to paralyze this nation, weaken its sovereignty, and impose lasting suffering on its people. The Israeli regime has now become a serious threat to international peace and security. Its continuous acts of aggression and terrorism threaten the entire region and have led the region to a full-scale war. The Security Council, which is responsible for maintaining international peace and security, cannot remain indifferent to these crimes. This council has a moral and legal obligation to intervene. This institution should not allow the Israeli regime's war crimes under the title of self-defense or security, which are raised by the representatives of the United States and the United Kingdom in this council, to remain unanswered. The continued impunity of the Israeli regime in its continuous violation of international law is a stain on our collective conscience.

Irvani emphasized: With the relentless support of the United States under the title of "iron support", the authorities of the Israeli regime have become insolent. Their heinous crimes are not only justified, but are constantly praised and their atrocities shamelessly normalized in the eyes of the world. They are counting on the support of the United States to continue their campaign of terror and destruction.

He continued: The Islamic Republic of Iran wants the Security Council to hold the Israeli regime accountable for committing such genocidal war and crimes against the people of Lebanon and Palestine. This council must send a decisive message: "The occupation and aggression of the Israeli regime must end." The Israeli regime must fully implement Resolution 1701 (2006). A just solution to this crisis requires the recognition of Lebanon's sovereignty and independence, the end of the illegal occupation and aggression of the Israeli regime, and respect for international law and the UN Charter.
