The US Department of Defense confirmed an hour ago that it will deploy a THAAD anti-missile system and its military personnel in Israel.
Pentagon spokesman Pat Ryder said that by the order of US President Joe Biden, the Secretary of Defense of this country has authorized the deployment of a THAAD anti-missile system and the forces necessary for its operation.
He said that this action is done in order to "strengthen Israel's air defense following Iran's unprecedented attack on Israel on April 13th and October 1st".
