Araghchi: We are ready for any scenario/ Iran's policy is to support the resistance

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Iran's Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi told reporters on the sidelines of the "Al-Aqsa Storm, the Beginning of Nasrallah" meeting: Our efforts and consultations regarding regional developments and prevention of crimes in Lebanon will continue.

 

He said: "After the consultations in New York, I had a trip to Beirut and Damascus. Starting this evening, I will take a trip to the region and go to Riyadh."

 

He added: "The collective movement of the Islamic countries is underway." Iran's policy is to support the resistance and we will not deviate from this basic policy in any way. If there is a consultation, it is to stop the crimes. We have stated many times that Iran does not want to increase tension, although we are not afraid of war.

 

Araghchi added: We are ready for any scenario, the armed forces are fully prepared.

 

Iran's Foreign Minister stated: Our policy is to stop conflicts and reaching a ceasefire is acceptable.

 

He continued: We have officially suggested to the Secretary General of the Islamic Organization that the summit of the Arab League be held, and the Secretary General is consulting.

 

Referring to the holding of a meeting with the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council countries in Qatar, he said: The first joint meeting of the foreign ministers of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council countries was informally held in Qatar.

 

He said: The relationship between us and the countries of the Cooperation Council has had ups and downs. This is normal. But there is a will for this relationship to lead to regional cooperation.

 

Araghchi said: We have relations with each of these countries, except for Bahrain, where we are disconnected. Of course, during the last 3 months, the foreign minister of Bahrain has visited Iran 3 times. This will exists. This meeting was held despite the disconnection of relations with one of the countries of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council. We need to consult with each other about regional issues.
