Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Hafez Zia Ahmad Takal, the Deputy Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country, wrote on his X page that Maulavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on the sidelines of the 6th Moscow Format meeting.
It is said that in this meeting, the two sides discussed the bilateral political and economic relations between Afghanistan and Russia and regional issues.
According to the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maulvi Amir Khan Muttaqi, stating that the Moscow format is of special importance for Afghanistan, demanded that this format be turned into a mechanism for the development of cooperation between Afghanistan and the countries of the region.
Referring to the political and economic developments between Afghanistan and the countries of the region, Moulavi Motaghi expressed hope that the level of diplomatic relations between the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and the Russian Federation would increase.

Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that his country has invited representatives of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to all meetings related to Afghanistan and will continue to do so.
Lavrov emphasized that the reserves of the Central Bank of Afghanistan should be unfrozen and the interaction with Afghanistan should not be related to other matters.
