The Inter Miami soccer team won the MLS Supporters' Shield Cup after winning 3-2 against Columbus Crew with the brilliance of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): This morning Inter Miami football team defeated Columbus Crew 3-2 with the goals of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez and won the MLS Supporters Shield.

The MLS Supporters' Shield is a title awarded annually to the best team with the most points or the best record, not to be confused with the MLS Cup, which is the most prestigious trophy in the United States and Canada and is awarded to the winner of the MLS playoffs.

This MLS Supporters' Shield is the second title in Inter Miami's short history after the League Cup, which was won in 2023 with Lionel Messi.

Now with Luis Suarez in the lineup and a reunion of former Barcelona players, the trophy also guarantees Inter Miami a place in the playoffs, and in addition, they will try to qualify for the 2025 Club World Cup.

Gerard Martino's team did not have an easy task in this meeting, and even though the hosts followed the work with one less player from the 65th minute, they protected their superiority with high excitement until the last moments.

Two goals were scored in the first half, but they were rejected. The first disallowed goal of the game was scored by Kocho in the 8th minute, but the referee disallowed Columbus Crew's goal because the Colombian player was in an offside position. Inter Miami also scored in the 25th minute, but the referee Marcelo Vaygant also disallowed the Argentinian goal due to offside.

Columbus started the game better than Inter Miami with intense pressure and speed to design attacks. But from the middle of the first half, both teams followed the game in a balanced way and it seemed that the first half would end with a goalless draw when Lionel Messi started.

Messi, who faced a tough challenge from the opposition defenders throughout the first half, broke through the Columbus Crew defense in the 45th minute, beautifully controlled Jordi Alba's pass with his chest, and after fooling the opposition defenders, made it 0-1.

Five minutes later, Messi scored another spectacular goal, making it 0-2 with a direct free kick that went over the defensive wall.

Columbus, who was thinking of making up for Messi's goals from the very beginning of the second half, and it only took 25 seconds for them to score thanks to Rossi. However, the Ohio-based team's joy was short-lived, as Suarez headed in two minutes later after a big mistake by goalkeeper Patrick Schulte and defender Rudy Camacho.

However, Columbus did not slow down and Kocho made the game 2-3 in the 61st minute. However, Wilfried Nancy's side faced another very serious incident in the 63rd minute when Camacho was sent off after receiving a second yellow card.

Although Intermiami struggled to maintain possession and calm the atmosphere, Columbus had a golden opportunity in the 84th minute when the ball collided with the hands of Yann Frei in the penalty area. However, Coco was unable to beat Miami goalkeeper Callender as Messi and Inter Miami claimed the MLS Supporters' Shield title.
