Hotel Fire Causes Financial Losses in Jalalabad
An official from the provincial government of Afghanistan’s eastern Nangarhar province said that, a hotel fire in Jalalabad city, had destroyed properties and products worth more than one million USD.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, The official said the fire broke out at 3 p.m. and swiftly spread to other building areas.
 
The hotel, close to the city’s major market and⁵ administrative buildings, served as one of the primary lodging options for tourists and travellers.
 
The official attributed the fire to a circuit shock and said that with the firefighters’ prompt response, the blaze was put out, and homes worth roughly $100 million were saved from the flames.
 
The provincial capital of Nangarhar, Jalalabad, is a vital trading centre and gateway to Kabul that is strategically located near the Pakistani border.
