Kabul Police arrest an individual for taking up to 600,000 AFN bribe
An individual has been arrested in Kabul on charge of taking up to 600,000 Afghanis in bribe from people, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said Monday.

According to a statement released by the Ministry of Interior, the individual has been arrested by the personnel of the Major Crimes Task Force.
The statement further added that the suspect had taken a sum of 580,000 Afghanis from 10 people, charging each 58,000 Afghanis promising that he would recruit them in one of the educational institutions of police.
The Ministry of Interior also added that the individual was arrested during an operation which was conducted by the Major Crimes Task Force in the vicinity of the 5th police district of the city on Sunday.
This comes as efforts are underway to root out corruption and bribery from the governmental institutions of the country.
