Providing uninterrupted consular services to foreign nationals
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has once again emphasized that access to consular services is outside the constitutional rights of resident Afghan nationals.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: According to a statement from the Ministry, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is committed to ensuring that consular services are provided to Afghan citizens abroad through diplomatic channels.
The Ministry highlighted, “As outlined in the Vienna Convention, consular services are independent of diplomatic recognition. Linking consular affairs to political considerations not only creates challenges but also undermines the rights of the people.”
The Ministry further added, “We will continue our efforts and dialogue with relevant countries to ensure that consular services are initiated in a manner that is mutually acceptable and grounded in established principles.”/Bakhtar News
