Presidents of Iran, Tajikistan, Afghanistan sign accords on routes, energy
The presidents of Iran, Tajikistan and Afghanistan have signed agreements on the establishment of connecting routes and the exchange of oil, gas and water by the three countries.
Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his Afghan and Tajik counterparts Hamid Karzai and Emomali Rahmon reached an accord on the aforementioned matters during the fifth trilateral summit of the presidents of the three Persian-speaking countries in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, on Sunday Press TV reported.

The trio agreed to use the financial assets of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and other funds to implement the agreements at the earliest.

The Iranian president is in the Tajik capital to attend the third International Nowruz Celebrations which kicked off on Sunday.

Iranian, Afghan, and Tajik presidents also stressed the importance of strengthening amicable relations.
