The Iranian hypersonic super-missile named "Fattah" was unveiled this Tuesday morning at one of the air force bases of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: According to Iran Press, the "Hypersonic" missile of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Aerospace Force named "Fattah" was launched this morning (Tuesday, June 6, 2023) in the presence of Ayatollah Raisi, the President of Iran, Major General Hussain Salami, and Commander-in-Chief of the Revolutionary Guards. The Islamic Revolution and Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizada, Commander of the Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, were unveiled at the headquarters of this force.

Specifications of "Fattah" hypersonic missile
The range of this missile is 1400 kilometers. The warhead of this missile has a solid fuel spherical engine and a movable nozzle that can maneuver in all directions and rotations. The speed of this missile is Mach 13-15 (speed of sound). The name of this missile was chosen by the leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.

Hypersonic missiles are among the latest weapons and equipment that are produced and used by countries such as America, Russia and China.

The speed of hypersonic missiles when traveling is between 5 and 25 times the speed of sound, which is between 1.6 and 8 km/s. In other words, it should be said that the minimum speed of hypersonic missiles is 3,500 miles per hour (5,633 kilometers per hour), which is about one mile per second (1,600 kilometers per hour).

Supersonic speed (5 to 25 sound speeds), blocking of radio waves, high maneuverability and change of course, stealth and unpredictability of the course are the main characteristics of hypersonic missiles.

These missiles are used to destroy targets that are at long distances or targets that need to be destroyed quickly. Strategic fighters such as the B-52 and long-range missile defense systems are among these targets.

Hypersonic missile engines are scramjet engines that can propel them to higher speeds to hit targets.

Previously, Sardar Amir Ali Hajizada, the commander of the Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran, told the students of the University of Science and Technology of this country that the tests of the hypersonic missile have been carried out and will be unveiled soon.

The Commander of the Aerospace Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps announced the construction of a hypersonic ballistic missile last year (1401, AH) for the first time.

The statements of the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Aerospace Force about Iran's acquisition of advanced "hypersonic" ballistic missiles have been widely reflected in the world media.
