The Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar, Mohammad bin Abdul Rahman Al-Thani, and the German Foreign Minister, Analna Baerbock, discussed the latest political and security developments in Afghanistan.
 
According to the statement published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, in this meeting, Mohammad bin Abdul Rahman emphasized the necessity of continuing the cooperation of the international community to strengthen the capabilities of the Afghan people and empower them to prevent any internal crisis.
 
In a newsletter published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, it is stated that the talks between the high officials of Qatar and Germany were mostly about recent developments in Afghanistan and developments in the political and security fields.
 
In this meeting, the two sides emphasized the need for international community cooperation in the fields of internal crisis prevention, peace, girls' education, human rights, especially respect for women's rights.
 
Qatar is one of the key players in the affairs of Afghanistan. From Afghanistan's peace talks in the capital of Qatar to hosting refugees who were waiting for their turn to fly to their destination countries.
 
The Foreign Minister of Qatar recently visited Kandahar Province and met with high-ranking officials of the Islamic Emirate, including Mullah Hasan Akhund and Maulavi Amir Khan Muttaqi.
 
After meeting with the caretaker government officials, he also had a telephone conversation with Anthony Blinken, the US Secretary of State, about Afghanistan.
