China launched three new satellites
China successfully launched three satellites into orbit in its first space launch of the New Year on Monday (January 9).
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Shiyan-22A, Shijian-23 Shiyan-22B satellites were launched at 6:00 am (Beijing time) from the Winching spacecraft site in the southern island province of Hainan on top of a Long March-YA rocket.
 
These three satellites were successfully put into orbit based on the prepared plans.
 
The Shihian-23 satellite is mainly used for scientific experiments and technical verification; while the Shiyan-22A and Shiyan-22B satellites carry out validation tests of new in-orbit technologies such as monitoring the space environment.
 
This launch is the 459th mine launch mission of the Long March carrier rocket series.
