Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): In the statement of the Samarkand meeting that was held yesterday (Friday,  September 16), the heads of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization said that addressing the situation in Afghanistan is very important to strengthen security in the organization's region.
 
The leaders of these countries added that they support an independent, neutral, united, democratic and peaceful Afghanistan free from terrorism, war and drugs.
 
The statement of the leaders of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization states: "Given the current humanitarian situation in Afghanistan, the member states called for continued efforts to provide assistance to the people of Afghanistan."
 
Shanghai Cooperation Organization is a political, security and economic organization. Afghanistan is an observer member of this organization; However, no representative from the country participated and the officials of the Islamic Emirate were not invited.
 
China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Iran, India are members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
