The local authorities of Takhar say that the fire in the timber store of Taleghan city, the center of Takhar, left more than two million in damages and more than 10 million worth of other property was saved from the fire.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Mazar-e-Sharif: Abdul Mobin Safi; The spokesperson of the Takhar Security Command told Ava today: Last night Wednesday (August 18), a fire started in the timber store of Taleghan city, which was extinguished when the fire brigade arrived, but it left huge damages.

According to him, more than two million Afghanis were damaged in this fire, and other goods worth more than ten million Afghanis were saved from the fire.

Meanwhile, Mohibullah Nikzad, the spokesman of Takhar governor, also told Ava: This incident happened at 12:00 last night when 9 wood shops were set on fire.

He said that the incident was caused by a power cut and efforts are underway to help the victims.

This is despite the fact that during five months of this year, fires have increased in the city centers of the country, which, according to the officials, is due to people's carelessness and non-observance of house standards.

Fires in the country, in addition to huge financial losses, have also aroused the concern of the citizens, among which the fire of the last week in the village of Bala Mardian, Jawzjan, displaced at least two thousand families and burned nearly three hundred houses.
