District governor in Logar sentenced to 10.5 years in prison for
The governor of Mohammad Agha district in Logar has been sentenced to 10.5 years in prison for accepting millions of afghanis bribe, an official said on Thursday.

The district governor was accused of taking 18 million afghanis and the verdict was issued by the anti-corruption court, said Jamshed Rasooli, a spokesman for the Attorney General’s Office.
Apart from being sentenced to imprisonment, the culprit is required to pay the money he took as bribe, Rasooli said.
