Taliban’s political office reports ‘good progress’ in Doha talks
The political office of Taliban has reported ‘good progress’ in recent Doha talks between the Taliban leaders, U.S. and Qatari officials.

Suhail Shaheen, a spokesman for the political office of Taliban in Qatar said in a Twitter post that the political delegation of Taliban had meeting with the U.S. representatives until 2:30 am on Friday.
Shaheen further added that Mullah Ghani Baradar also met with Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad, Gen. Scott Miller and foreign minister of Qatar on Friday.
Furthermore, Shaheen said the both the meetings made ‘good progress’ but did not elaborate further.
Ambassador Khalilzad left for Doha after concluding talks with the Afghan leaders in Kabul earlier this week.
He also shared the draft U.S.-Taliban deal with the Afghan leaders during his trip to Kabul.
