Pakistan’s foreign minister to visit Kabul
The foreign minister of Pakistan Shah Mehmood Qureshi will visit Kabul next week to meet Afghan officials regarding bilateral relations and ongoing peace efforts between the Afghan government and the Taliban group.

Qureshi informed regarding his planned trip to Afghanistan during a gathering in Multan in which he reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to anAfghan-led and Afghan-owned peace process.
The foreign minister of Pakistan had also visited Kabul nearly three months and met with the Afghan leaders regarding reconciliation process.
The U.S. envoy for Afghan peace Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad last week met with the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan to discuss the ongoing efforts regarding the reconciliation in Afghanistan.
The Office of the Prime Minister of Pakistan in a statement has said the meeting took place on Wednesday.
The statement further added that PM Khan reiterated Pakistan’s “abiding interest” in achieving lasting peace and reconciliation in Afghanistan.
This comes as the U.S. President Donald Trump had earlier sent a letter to Prime Minister Imran Khan seeking Islamabad’s cooperation in Afghan peace process.
