Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): On the eve of the anniversary of Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, different countries of the world are witnessing demonstrations in support of the Palestinian people.

 

Massive rallies have been held in several major European cities and are expected to reach their peak on Monday, the anniversary of the Al-Aqsa storm.

 

At Columbia University, students read out a list of Palestinian martyrs at a memorial service. Residents of Providence in the United States also took to the streets in support of the people of Gaza.

 

Americans gathered in black and white jackets in New York's Time Square to demand a halt to arms deliveries to the Israeli regime, Reuters reported.

 

Anti-Israel protests in Rome, Italy, led to clashes with police, who dispersed people with tear gas and water cannons. At least 30 protesters and police officers were injured in the clashes.

 

London, the British capital, also witnessed a rally of several tens of thousands, with at least 17 people arrested. In Spain, thousands took to the streets demanding an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

 

In Manila, the capital of the Philippines, and in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, people gathered in front of the US embassy and demanded a halt to sending weapons to Israel.

 

In Hamburg, Germany, people showed solidarity with Palestinian and Lebanese flags by holding Palestinian and Lebanese flags. The German government has filed more than 3,200 cases against protesters on anti-Semitic grounds, media reported.

 

In Belgrade, Serbia, people also chanted Palestinian slogans to express their dissatisfaction with the government's support for the Zionist regime.

 

The French rallies were also attended by some politicians. French President Emmanuel Macron has called for a halt to arms deliveries to the Israeli regime.

 

Thousands of people gathered in Cape Town, South Africa, and Dublin, Ireland, to support the people of Gaza and Lebanon.
