Iranian Foreign Minister's visit to Syria

Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, in continuation of his regional consultations on the issue of Gaza and Lebanon crisis, entered Damascus, the capital of Syria.

During this trip, Araghchi will meet and talk with Basam Sabbagh, the Syrian Foreign Minister and Mohammad Ghazi Al-Jalali, the Prime Minister of this country.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran visited Lebanon yesterday and met and talked with Najib Mikati, the Prime Minister of Lebanon and Nabih Berri, Speaker of the Parliament of this country.

Araghchi further told the Lebanese journalists about his consultations in Beirut: Today I had very good and useful consultations with the Honorable Prime Minister Mr. Mikati and Mr. Nabih Berri, Speaker of the Honorable Parliament of Lebanon, and they had very good talks, a very good exchange of views regarding the developments. The recent one took place in Lebanon.

He added: In these meetings, I emphasized that Iran is with Lebanon and will remain with Lebanon. Iran is with the resistance and will remain with the resistance, and we are sure that the crimes of the Zionist regime will be defeated as in the past and the Lebanese nation will win.

Araghchi also stated: My presence in Beirut in this difficult situation and while the Zionist regime bombards Beirut every night and every moment, is a sign that the Islamic Republic of Iran will continue to be firmly behind Hezbollah and support the Shiites and The people of Lebanon will continue.
