Afghan citizens arrested ahead of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf rally

Pakistani police have arrested 412 people, including 60 Afghans, ahead of a PTI rally in Islamabad, media reported.


Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: According to the Express Tribune, the suspects were arrested on Thursday from Brakahu, Taranul and Sangjani areas of Islamabad and were recovered with arrows, nailed batons and stones.
 
Supporters of Imran Khan's Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party are scheduled to hold a demonstration in the D-Chowk area of ​​Islamabad on Friday.
 
Pakistani police have taken tight security measures to prevent protesters from reaching the D Chowk area, the Express Tribune reported.
 
According to the media report, Pakistani police have deployed more than 4,000 troops to prevent protesters from reaching the Dee Chowk area.
 
Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has warned PTI leaders to reconsider the protests, citing the presence of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim in Islamabad.
 
He said anyone who tried to attack the De Chowk area would be dealt with decisively.
 
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders had earlier called for the protests to protest against the government's policies towards the party.
