Afghan Cricketer Rahmanullah Gurbaz Makes Historic Entry into World’s Top Ten Batsmen
Rehmanullah Gurbaz has become the first Afghan cricketer to be ranked among the top ten female batsmen in the world.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: The International Cricket Council (ICC) recently unveiled its updated list of the top ten batsmen globally, with Gurbaz, a key player of the Afghanistan national team, securing the eighth position an unprecedented achievement for an Afghan athlete.
According to a report by the Bakhtar News Agency, Gurbaz has accumulated a remarkable 3,369 runs across 108 international matches, a feat that positions him among the cricketing elite.
Gurbaz’s standout performance came during a match against Pakistan, where he single-handedly scored 151 runs, setting a personal record and contributing significantly to Afghanistan’s cricket success on the global stage.
