Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian said this morning (Wednesday, Sep 25) that what the interim Zionist terrorist regime is doing in the region is genocide.

Pezeshkian, who is in New York, explained in an interview with Al Jazeera: "Unfortunately, European countries and America still defend these [Israeli] crimes."

Stating that Israel hopes to expand the war in the Middle East in order to continue its survival, he stated: "Israel could not achieve its goals in Gaza and could not destroy Hamas."

"The only goal Israel achieved was to destroy an entire city and prevent the arrival of humanitarian supplies," Al Jazeera quoted the Iranian president as saying.

Pezeshkian added: "Islamic countries must show a coordinated response because Israel will do the same thing in Lebanon as it did in Gaza."

According to this report, he continued: "Israel is certainly eager to ignite the fire of war and expand its scope in the region. "Netanyahu seeks to continue his political life through the current crisis."

Regarding Iran's response to the assassination of martyr "Ismail Haniyeh" by the Zionist regime in Tehran, the Presidency of the Islamic Republic of Iran also clarified: "The quality, place and time of our response are matters that we should not make public."

Al-Jazeera quoted doctors as saying: "We are the ones who determine the time frame for the response to the assassination of Martyr Haniyeh, and Israel cannot do what it wants."

In this interview, he noted: "Israel will not be harmed by the expansion of the war, because it is supported by those who misunderstand human values."

The Presidency of the Islamic Republic of Iran added: "Israel will not dare to continue its actions if we all raise our voices together." The weapons and missiles we have made are for self-defense in case of an Israeli attack."

Pezeshkian told Al Jazeera: "We are not looking for war with any side and we are sticking to the nuclear agreement we signed and adhered to." We have no problem with talking to America, but this country has not fulfilled its commitment.

In this regard, he added: "We currently do not see the goodwill of the American side in terms of dialogue, and this is what happened in the nuclear agreement."
