Pakistani media have reported that 59,561 Afghan immigrants have returned to their country after setting a one-month deadline for illegal immigrants to leave Pakistan.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Radio Pakistan has reported that 59,561 Afghan immigrants have returned to their country after setting a one-month deadline for illegal immigrants to leave Pakistan.

This media added that the Afghan Refugee Affairs Commission has provided suitable facilities to facilitate the return to the country for its citizens.

Also, according to Radio Pakistan, Pakistani security forces are actively working at the border for the safe return of Afghan citizens.

Pakistan's decision to deport Afghan migrants and refugees is facing criticism from human rights organizations. Human rights activists want Pakistan to reconsider its decision.

United Nations human rights experts have said in a joint statement that Pakistan's decision to deport illegal immigrants will affect more than 1.4 million Afghan citizens, including many of them due to serious concerns over human rights violations and the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan. They fled to Pakistan in search of security and protection.

These experts expressed concern about the risk of repatriating Afghan citizens, including many families, women and children, and said that many of them will face irreparable harm such as serious human rights violations in their country.

Meanwhile, Pakistan has given illegal immigrants until November 1 to leave the country.
