In three provinces of the country, 75 acres of land were cleared from poppy cultivation
The Ministry of Interior says that the anti-narcotics agents have cleared 75 acres of land in the provinces of Nangarhar, Kandahar and Laghman from poppy cultivation.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Ministry of Interior has tweeted today, Tuesday, March 14, 2023, that the anti-narcotics agents in three provinces of the country have cleared 75 acres of land from poppy cultivation.
 
The Ministry of Interior has also said that it has cleared 59 acres of land in Shinwari district and another acre of land in the first district of Jalalabad city from poppy cultivation.
 
The Ministry of Interior also added that it cleared more than 9 acres of land in Arghandab and Spin Boldak districts of Kandahar province and another 7 acres of land in Alishang district of Laghman province from poppy cultivation.
 
Earlier, the anti-narcotics police cleared tens of acres of land in the east of the country from poppy cultivation.
 
It should be remembered that poppy was cultivated in most of the distant parts of the eastern provinces of the country during the previous government.
