Following their recent trips to Iran and Iraq, the head of the high-ranking delegation of the Afghan Shia Ulama Council, in a meeting with Afghan elites and students in the holy city of Qom, emphasized that they had more than 30 meetings and discussions: in these meetings, They did not come across any cases where they doubted the correctness of the Shia Ulama Council's method in interacting with the Islamic Emirate to achieve the rights of the Shias and gave other advice, so they became more determined to ensure that the Shias have access to their fundamental rights in Afghanistan without violence through dialogue and Pursue peacefully.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Qom: Following the trip of the delegation of the Afghan Shia Ulama Council abroad, this delegation, after traveling to Iraq and returning to the Islamic Republic of Iran, on Wednesday, January 11, held a meeting with elites and scholars. In this meeting, after the speech of Professor Mohammad Akbari, the head of this delegation, the questions of the participants were answered.
In his speech at the beginning of this meeting, Professor Mohammad Akbari said: After the changes in the country that led to the fall of the republican system and the Taliban took over power, the majority of political figures left the country. The members of the Council of Scholars decided to stay with the people after a review.
He continued: We have decided to build on the interaction with the Islamic Emirate and pursue the achievement of the Shia community's fundamental rights through negotiation and dialogue, in a peaceful manner and away from violence. During this period, we had frequent meetings with high-ranking officials of the Islamic Emirate.
According to the head of the Shia Ulama Council, with persistent efforts, we were able to unify the views of the Shia activists who are present inside Afghanistan, and in this way, the demands of the Shia community were prepared. Among these activists and elites in the country, a commission to follow up the demands was established and the demands of the Shia community have been brought to the authorities of the Islamic Emirate, which are four issues:
1. Maintaining the legitimacy of the Shia religion;
2. Applying the Shia personal status law in the courts for followers of the Jafari sect;
3. Participation of the Shia community in national and state decisions;
4. Participation of the Shia community in governmental and executive political affairs (membership in the cabinet, etc.).
Of course, according to him, the Islamic Emirate has not responded positively to the basic demands of the Shia community. Of course, they did not give a negative answer and they postpone the issue to the future; And they say, they cannot make a decision on this matter until the end of the caretaker government period.
But regarding the results and achievements of the high-ranking delegation of the Council of Shiite Scholars, Akbari said: "During this trip, we met with elites, academic figures and great authorities of taqlid, and consulted and asked for their opinion on the policy of the Council of Scholars so far."
According to him, during this trip, they had more than 30 meetings and discussions, and in these meetings, they did not come across any cases that caused doubts about the correctness of this method and gave other advice. Therefore, we became more determined to pursue the access of Shiites to their fundamental rights in Afghanistan, away from violence, through dialogue and with a peaceful approach.
Professor Akbari continued: Another issue that is on the agenda of the Council of Scholars is a serious and continuous effort for the integration of Shia society. We made a lot of efforts in this regard; but we have partial success, not complete.
He explained in this regard: We were able to gather a relative majority in the claims settlement commission, but it is not complete and our efforts are ongoing in this area and we need your cooperation.
Meanwhile, at the end of this meeting, the questions of the participants were answered by Alami Balkhi, Afzali and Javad Salehi.
One of the questions raised in this meeting was about the words of Grand Ayatollah Fayaz in the meeting with the Ulama Council delegation and supporting the position of interaction with the Islamic Emirate for the realization of the rights of Shias, to which the answer was: We have reached the service of Ayatollah Fayaz. And before we speak, they said their content has been published. They were really up-to-date and know all the issues accurately. After the report of the delegation, he recommended and ordered again and emphasized on his previous statements, which unfortunately some irresponsibly marginalized.
