52 People Killed and Injured in Zabul
Four people killed and forty-eight others suffered injuries when a passenger bus toppled over due to flooding in Zabul.
Afghan Voice Agency(AVA)_Monitoring, According to Abdul Hakim Hakimi, the Islamic Emirate’s Director of Public Health Department for the province of Zabul, this incident occurred last night, July 25, at around 9:00 in the Foladaki region of the Shahr-e-Safa district of this province.

The tragedy was caused by the flood, according to Hakimi, who also said that three women and one man lost their lives in the incident.

The Islamic Emirate health official continued by stating that at least 48 people, including women and children, had been injured, and that some of the patients’ conditions were critical and severe.

According to local reports, the bus driver allegedly rushed the vehicle into the flood at a fast rate of speed despite the passengers’ objections, causing the accident.

The incident comes at a time when the Afghanistan Meteorology Department issued two warnings, labeling Zabul province with other provinces, this week for heavy rainfall and flash floods.

Drivers’ negligence has resulted in considerable human loss in Afghanistan and traffic incidents associated with the fault of the driver have increased in recent months.

Earlier this month, a 580-type passenger bus and a tractor-trailer collided in Pol-e-Khomri city, the provincial capital, resulting in a traffic tragedy that left eight passengers dead and 11 others injured in Baghlan province, in northern Afghanistan.
