Senior Taliban leader dies of wounds in Faryab province
A senior Taliban leader died of wounds he had sustained during an operation in northern Faryab province of Afghanistan.

The 209th Shaheen Corps said in a statement that Qari Ismail, the shadow district chief of Taliban for Khan Chaharbagh died of his wounds on Friday.
The statement further added that Qari Ismail sustained injuries during an operation in Ghajarabad Village of Andkhoi district on Thursday.
Furthermore, the 209th Shaheen Corps said Qari Ismail’s three comrades had also sustained injuries during the same operation.
The Taliban group has not commented in this regard so far.
