Afghanistan condemns terrorist attack in southeastern Iran
Afghanistan Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Friday condemning a deadly terrorist attack in southeastern Iranian port city of Chabahar.
AVA- Sympathizing with the Iranian government and people, the statement once again underlined the need for closer efforts and further cooperation of all the countries to fight against this “common enemy”.

Noting that many Afghan people have fallen victim to terrorism for the country’s counterterrorism efforts, the statement said that terrorism is indiscriminable and is the common enemy of human community.

The driver of a Toyota Van, laden with explosives, tried to run into the police headquarters in Chabahar on Thursday morning but police was brave and vigilant enough to take timely action and prevent him to do so, an informed source told the Iranian Islamic Republic News Agency on condition of anonymity. The suicide bomber then blew him up and as a result two policemen were martyred and the suicide attacker was killed.

Some 43 others were also injured in the incident, most of whom were soon discharged from hospital after receiving treatment.
