Policy, procedures to legalize irresponsible armed groups approved in principle
The National Security Council has approved in principle the policy and procedures to legalize the irresponsible armed groups and individuals.
AVA- The Office of the National Security Council (ONSC) in a statement said the meeting of the security sector was organized and chaired by National Security Adviser Dr. Hamdullah Mohib during which the policy and procedures to legalize the irresponsible armed groups and individuals were approved in principle.
The statement further added that the meeting also reviewed the security situation of the country as well as the existing situation in Ghazni, Faryab, Nangarhar, and Farah provinces.
The security sector ministers also presented their reports regarding the achievements, security plans, threat levels, operations, steps and measures required to improve the security situation.
The meeting also discussed the factors behind the rising civilian casualties where it was emphasized that the civilian casualties must be prevented, the statement added.
In his turn, Dr. Mohib hailed the national defense and security forces for their efforts and campaign against the enemies of the country and nation and emphasized on further coordination among the security and defense institutions.
The meeting also focused on policy and procedures to legalize the irresponsible armed groups and individuals which was approved in principle and will be presented for final approval during the meeting of the National Security Council, the Office of the National Security Council said.
