Police chief of Badghis
Police chief of Muqur district in Afghanistan's northwestern province of Badghis has been killed in a roadside bomb blast, officials said Wednesday.
AVA- Ismail Khan Shukori was travelling to assess security checkpoints in Miranzayee in southern part of Muqur district when his vehicle was hit by the roadside bomb, the provincial police said.
One of his colleagues was also killed in the bombing.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
In a separate incident, Taliban militants attacked security checkpoints in Badghis province, killing four security personnel, police said.
The counter attack killed 11 insurgents and injured 16 others, according to police.
