Afghanistan secures 4th position among 65 nations in Korea Taekwondo championships
The Afghanistan Taekwondo Federation says Afghanistan has secured the 4th position among 65 nations during the international Taekwondo championships in Korea.
The officials are saying that Thailand has secured the first place, Korea second spot, Uzbekistan has been at third spot while Afghanistan has secured the fourth position.
The Afghanistan Taekwondo Federation officials said last week that two Afghan athletes, Nisar Ahmad Abdul Rahimzai and Farzad Mansoori , won Gold Medals while two others, Mohsin Rezaye and Ramesh Hussaini, won Bronze Medals during the championship.
The officials further added that Nisar Ahmad Abdul Rahimzai managed to defeat his rival from USA during the final of the championship and bagged a Gold Medal for Afghanistan.
Similarly, Farzad Mansoori, managed to defeat his rivals from Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and Thailand to win another Gold Medal for the country.
According to Taekwondo Federation officials, the two other Afghan athletes, Mohsin Rezaye and Ramesh Hussaini, each won Bronze Medals for Afghanistan.
